MIXED USE & PLANNING PROJECTS
RETAIL CENTER AT THE PROMENADE
Little Rock, Arkansas
MARKET PLACE
Little Rock, Arkansas
Market Place Shopping Center is a renovation to two existing mixed use buildings totaling 79,000 S.F. The owner wanted to revitalize the exterior facades of a these two buildings that were built in the 70's. The main challenge was to design the center in such a way that the construction work could be done without hindering the existing tenant's business hours. Renovations included adding tower elements at each transition in building elevation, widen the sign bands, provide all new tenant signage, repaint the brick & metal roofs, surface the stucco, add outdoor dining spaces, score & resurface the sidewalks, provide all new landscaping & irrigation, and resurface & re-stripe the parking lots.

The owners wanted a center that would be a unique destination with an upscale feel. This idea drove the design of the facade utilizing different material textures, which include glass, stone, brick, precast panels, stucco, and heavy timber.
